I’ve noticed over the last few aged pension payments that it has gone up a little each time. Today’s pension was more a jump - it’s gone up over $30 in total.
Doesn’t seem much in the scheme of things, but it is when I look at what it does for me. It’s more than my weekly petrol use or a quarter of my average grocery bill. It’s a lunch out occasionally, it’s a birthday gift for a grandchild, it’s something extra for my garden, or I can add it to savings.
