May 12, 2025 @ 21:12 (!) Good evening family & friends❣️ Another busy but good day today, after my doctor appointment we came home and ate, then went to Ollie's where I didn't find much but what I DID find was GREAT! A different flavor than I've ever seen - and chicken-free (for Chuy) of Charlee Bear treats which is what kind I buy for them. I've never seen them at Ollie's before but they were ⅓ the price anywhere else! So that alone was worth the trip, I bought 5 bags. Then we went to Walmart (ugh) where we found just one more of the things I needed...it is so difficult to shop in the city! There are more options but SO MUCH driving in SO MUCH traffic, 20 minutes to go 5 miles and then walking around multiple huge stores...it is not worth it to me and I'm buying online more than I did when I lived in Clare and bought from small local businesses...I guess that's how it has to be now 🤷‍♀️ and I understand why the Amazon trucks drive down our street multiple times every day. Anyway, I will get online and find what I need I guess, and go from there. Another interesting thing, in the small town where my doctor is, regular unleaded gas is in the $2.659-2.699 range; here it is $3.399 everyplace I've seen except one. CRAZY ain't it? Tomorrow Pete has 2 appointment in Saginaw (in the same building) so we'll be going out again, we do enjoy our trips together though, and laugh a lot so it's all good! We did get to see Leelan for a few minutes today, he'd left his headphones in the bus this weekend, so we dropped them off at his mom's office as we were going by, and he came out...so, since he has his driving permit now, I let him drive HoWie around the parking lot and he thought that was really cool! Casey works in the admin building for the school district, they all had their windows open and Leelan said EVERYBODY in the building heard me backing up HoWie into his parking space BEEP BEEP BEEP hahaha! Anyway, fun times...and with that I'm going to go spend time with the PoiBoiz and get ready for bed, and I will see you in the morning...good night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

May 10, 2025 @ 20:21 (!) Good evening family & friends❣️ Well it has been a day of fun and enjoyment and love with the grands here! The weather was in the upper 60s, sunny, and perfect! WONDERFUL day and I'm glad I decided to video some of it to share. Besides what you see in the video, the girls and I decided to go thrift store shopping on the spur of the moment and that was a blast too! I didn't get anything but they did, I've wanted to have an outfit and a pair of PJs here for each of them for when they forget something, or spill something, or whatever (which happens fairly regularly) so we got that done! And we're going to a doggy birthday party tomorrow so we picked up a couple of gifts as well...just a really fun day! Lyra helped me get all of my winter clothes packed up in totes under the bed, and go through and put away all of the summer clothes that had previously been contained in them...BIG JOB! Luna got to take my fun little vacuum around and suck up whatever she saw on the floors and run it around the baseboards. So all 3 of them had jobs this weekend and earned a little spending money for themselves. FUN FUN FUN!!! So now I'm going to go spend time with them before bed. I hope are having a fantastic weekend too, and I will see you in the morning...good night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

May 6, 2025 @ 21:00 Good evening family & friends❣️ Today was about what I anticipated though I slept more than I thought I would. Someone came and got our old table tonight so getting it out of the living room was nice and we have that space back. The living room is definitely feeling larger with the new table here instead! Pete had his appointment in Clare, I stayed home. It's been a very laid-back day so tomorrow I plan to work on laundry while J&E are here putting up the fence...the dogs will finally have a back yard in which to play and I am so excited for them (since they aren't excited for themselves). It'll be great not having to put Maisie on her long rope to let her do her thing outside, and Chuy will hopefully do his thing outside, at least sometimes! It must be related to the baggage he came with - and there is a lot of it! - but he's never been reliably house-trained. He will use "papers" (chux) though, so we keep some in the bathroom that he uses instead...also useful in the winter because his little feetsies freeze quickly and he needs to be carried in. Anyway, with a fenced-in yard the bathroom won't be as busy hahaha! We'll put up a divided screen so they can come and go, as did when we lived in Myrtle...anyway, just wanted to say good night and I will see you in the morning, I hope you are having a good week so far! April 30, 2025 @ 22:10 Good evening family & friends❣️ It was a lovely day today, though not as busy as I'd anticipated since J&E didn't come...they're coming tomorrow instead which is fine with me and actually I used the time wisely: I had a nap hahaha! I didn't INTEND to have a nap but, as usual, it just happened, right where I sat! But I had a very busy evening, though unfruitful, painful, and frustrating - it was still busy. Maisie got her first doses of her meds tonight. I feed her by hand since she still bolts her food from her constant starvation mode before she was rescued, she needs to use a special dish to slow her down. But since she eats homemade food now and it is difficult to wash, it is easier just to feed her one bite at a time on a spoon. And we both enjoy it. And hiding a pill in a spoonful of good mushy food gets it down easily. I made them something special tonight: salmon, eggs, and pasta! Figured I'd do something simple yet tasty for the next few meals. Anyway, enough of that... Also of course worked on this site, not as much on ChiaChow but tomorrow I plan to work on my new page over there quite a bit. So I'm going to turn in now and I will see you next month, sleep tight❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

April 29, 2025 @ 20:08 Good evening family & friends❣️ Well today was different...I did some work around the house while waiting to hear from the vet; heard back at about 2:00 that they couldn't fit Maisie in, and that the ER vet would open at 5:00 if I didn't think she could wait until her morning appt. That gave me a couple of hours to grab a nap; I woke up just before 5 and the swelling in her eye was down by about half from when I went to sleep. She is still acting 100% normal, using her eye, happily working for me, no discomfort of any kind, so I will just take her in the morning to her appointment. Thank you Lord! It was a gorgeous day outside but the winds were pretty horrific - calm now though and a lovely sunny evening with, most likely, a beautiful sunset; we can't see to the west from here as we are so close to the neighbors' taller-than-ours house, garage, and shed lined up right along the lot line very close to our house and yard. Anyway, we do get to see the sunrises which are stunning over the bay even though we can't see the bay itself it is close enough that the morning colors are spectacular! So I'm going to get going early again tonight and de-stress through the evening, I will see you in the morning, good night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

April 27, 2025 @ 20:44 Good evening family & friends❣️ It is a lovely evening out, and was a beautiful day! We were accepted as members in our church today and that was fun, I was approached and asked if I was interested in playing the piano there (not sure how they knew) and I declined; I always have, and am always willing to use whatever gifts God gave me. However, at every church I've been a part of I have always been the involved in music - from music director, to choir director, to accompanist - and I'd love to be just be a church member for a while, and see if I have anything else to offer. Not that I am vehemently opposed of course, just want to explore what it's like to feed and be fed in other ways...something I haven't ever been able to do. Anyway, we are very pleased to be members of this church body. In other news I am going forward to getting HoWie ready for his first trip. I measured and ordered what we will need for the bed today. I will start looking at curtains soon, as privacy will also be an important thing. Pete is working on the passenger door latches & locks. I am hoping to take a weekend trip in May. Of course I also worked on my sites, and unintentionally had a nap. When I finish here I plan to close the windows so I can play my keyboard for a while before bed. And that was my day, it was a great weekend overall! I hope yours was great too, have a wonderful night and a magnificent Monday, I will see you in the morning❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

And I'm sorry about that...I was busy and on my feet from early afternoon until night! Some days are like that I guess and I'm thankful that I can once again have days like this! I could do FF now but frankly, I'm exhausted, and am still working on making dog food. Not complaining, mind you - it was a GREAT day as you will see when you look at today's posts! Mostly sunny...t-shirt weather...we did our errands in HoWie, he was happy to be out frolicking in the traffic on such a beautiful day too. Got a lot done online, as you will see in the list below, even though I was gone all afternoon and into the evening. So VERY productive day! Had a couple of interesting meals too, different, as I work on using up some of what's been sitting in the freezer. At any rate, it was all good today! My day was about as I had expected, which I already told you in this morning's update...it was pretty productive for a rest day! My pain levels have been really high for a few days (my own fault, if you saw that I ate verboten foods on Sunday) but this afternoon as I was trying to hobble around and make Pete's supper, groaning and wincing with every step, suddenly it was all gone - instantly I was walking and moving normally without the extreme pain I've had since the weekend...THANK YOU JESUS!!! So I am planning to get out of the house tomorrow, I have to do a couple of things and I was dreading it but now I'll be happy to get out and about. I'll be heading to bed early tonight just to read my book (hahaha I love to say that!) and I will see you in the morning...nighty-night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

April 22, 2025 @ 19:38 Good evening family & friends❣️ It was quite a windy day today but beautiful and warm. I didn't go out anywhere, and did sleep quite a bit - for the same reason as yesterday - so it was a restful day of healing, and I am feeling quite a bit better tonight - thank you Lord! Have worked on a couple of non-blog-related things: one is looking into listening to podcasts again. Now that I have learned (thank you, Leelan!) how to use bluetooth headphones I want to start listening to a very select few podcasts while I am doing other things...such as working in my planned garden this year but also when I'm driving or doing laundry or whatever. I have also been trying to read again. Not that I don't know how, but it has been difficult with this bramaged drain and really not worth the effort when I have to go back over and over and over the same things before I can move on in a story, for example. I started that about 2 weeks ago and I finally just read a whole book on my tablet! VERY exciting! So now I am about to start a second book by the same author about the same characters in the same fictional town but of course with the focus on different ones; that way I'm not starting from scratch again. It was a lovely little book, called On Moonberry Lake by Holly Varni that I read on Everand but it doesn't have The Blooming of Delphinium so I'll be reading that on Hoopla. Anyway, that's where I'll be going after I finish here tonight, to "work on" the book and/or look into a couple of podcasts - I just want to start with 2 - that were mentioned on theres.life recently...and lastly, I finally started the actual work on a new page on my ChiaChow site, having done a lot of background work and research and link-saving for a while now; today I actually put the page up with the introduction and it's ready to go. So that's pretty exciting too! So I guess I will go get started and will see you in the morning, have a good evening, good night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

Good times! The day really zipped past! There was a little airplane that kept flying over, dozens of times actually, and very low, today; I went on Nextdoor and asked about and was told that's the mosquito control plane, they've already started dropping their chemicals. Pretty much that's all I did today actually, slept, worked on this site, and ate a meal. Didn't even get dressed! Pete did take Leelan to get his birthday gift but the shop was closed so they will do it tomorrow. But Leelan - who got his driving permit a few days ago - did get to drive our car with Umpa Pete so it was worth it to him anyway! Anyway I will see you in the morning, sleep well❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

April 9, 2025 @ 20:38 Good evening family & friends❣️ Though I had a slow start, it ended up being quite a productive day. All the laundry is put away, dishes got did, had some keyboard time, ran a couple of errands (in HoWie!), made a couple of meals, and updated some pages on my ChiaChow site as well as new posts here. Not bad for a slug hahaha! I don't think we're going anywhere tomorrow so I plan to keep having productive days. Still have to feed the PoiBoiz and get them ready for bed, they got their new toys today so in the morning I'll give their cages a thorough (as opposed to the daily "good enough") cleaning and give them new toys...still looking around for someone more clever than me for another source. Would be such a good home job for somebody who wants to do it, as long as they know what they're doing (safety, toxins, etc.) which is usually someone who has parrots AND extra time but if you have parrots you probably don't have lots of extra time hahaha! Anyway, maybe there's someone out there praying for such an opportunity and I'm praying for someone who does such a thing and God may bring us together. I'm rambling so I will go get ready for bed and do the same for my sweet PoiBoiz, and I will see you in the morning...good night❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

April 8, 2025 @ 21:50 Good evening family & friends❣️ Well I didn't do NEARLY as much today as I did yesterday as I was pretty sore already but I did finish the laundry except for the towels; I'm waiting for a nice day so I can hang them outside. But the highlight of my day was a completely unexpected and WONDERFUL gift from my bestie Heidi in MO, I will show you pictures tomorrow, pretty darned cool and I'm really excited about it! She also sent me flower seeds in my favorite colors, from her flowers! Plus we got to have a nice long chat (text)...so she really really made my day❣️ It did stay pretty sunny outside until evening when we had some heavy snow falling, it was beautiful but didn't stick. I spent part of the evening with my PoiBoiz and also just looking at recipes and gardening stuff online, and now it is nearly time for bed. A long but beautiful day, and productive enough that I don't feel like a slug hahaha! Sleep well❣️🙏🥱🌛💤

I had intended to do more here on my site today but part of what I'd planned to post, I decided not to for various reasons...still, I spend a lot of time on it first, before putting it up on my private family site, but most of the good stuff was on the post I DID put up here anyway :). Good evening family & friends❣️ BUSY day today, I had a ton of video clips from the last month or so that I've needed to go through and either delete, or edit into single videos that I then could optimize to save storage space...that took my entire afternoon, and I shared most of them here (which was my original intention anyway) so there's quite a list below, tonight of all that I accomplished. Of course earlier I had done the usual stuff, both here on my site and around the house. Then we went to Leelan's "friends party" - his birthday is Monday, and his parents always have a fun thing for him and his friends every year. We've previously been to far to stop in but tonight we did and it was nice to see them all having pizza and fun! We made a quick stop at Ollie's for a few things on the way home, then took care of the PoiBoiz and dogs, and fed ourselves. Now I wiped out and ready for bed! It's the Timeless Praise stream at https://www.rejoice.org/streams/ and I'm enjoying the heck out of it tonight, my heart is flying while I've been working! When we got home tonight I fixed myself something to eat, then have been working on the site ever since. And I still have SO MUCH from this week that I want to share here (on my site)...but tomorrow is going to be my "catch-up day" (which I told the girls is the day that I will only eat ketchup hahaha!) and I will have my nose to the grindstone as much as possible to get it all up! Anyway, I did have to take a break to make dog food but the Blendtec really did most of the labor, then the food cooked while I worked. Now it is getting close to my bedtime, I'm so very wiped out but plan on a good night's sleep and a productive - but in a more relaxed way - day tomorrow!
