draft - in iOS 18 (and android), does locking an app freeze it as well? like, apps that do tracking and stuff like that, that we have to have running most of the time, but sometimes we as humans deserve a break from big brother, 1984, orwell etc...
so when i say freeze apps, basically, "temporarily disable all permissions the app is usually given". so for example an app with excessive app permissions that we are forced to have installed and be running 24/7, i think as human beings, we kind of deserve a few hours sometimes where its *not running*.
so an apps with excessive permissions like
location - allowed all the time
physical activity - the ability to detect phone movement etc
phone access - apps that track phone use, making / taking calls etc
we as human beings, while sometimes being forced to install these apps on our phone by our superiors and what not, should still have a function in the phone OS to freeze the apps legitimately for 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours, etc, these kinds of apps are required to "check in" with the server at least once ever 10 to 14 days, so having a "day off" should be normal once every couple / few days or so...i'm not saying to disable it, just to legitimately give us the ability to legitimately freeze these types of apps so we can "log off" from them from time to time. we're human. we deserve it.
