Hoy vimos «Before Sunset», y debo corregir. Es esta es realmente mi película romántica favorita de todos los tiempos. Ambas dignas de 5 estrellas. Sin embargo, la conversación es mas madura e interesante, e incluso me hizo reír más. Sin duda que a los 20 y tantos prefería la primera, pero a mis 40 y algo, la segunda parte se convierte en mi favorita.

Completely unrelated to sysadmin, netsec, 3dprinting, engineering, coding or my 3642 other hobbies; I've found a genre of cinema that I love deeply but I didn't know what to call it.
A perfect example is #RichardLinklater's "Before" (e.g.#BeforeSunset) trilogy (movies) starting #EthanHawke and #JulieDelpy. It's a realistic portrayal of two characters (and almost ONLY two characters) throughout life and love. Each movie was made ~10 years after the prior so we get to see how the characters evolve physically and mentally. How different aspects of life challenge each.

But similarly is #NormalPeople, the #BBC/Hulu's "TV" show starring Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones. I could see it a philosophical homage to the Before... Series where two people from different social classes find and love one another and how life takes them to and fro.

A third example is #LoveLife, starring #AnnaKendrick, also in a similar vein.

I guess I could call them all in the romance genre, but it's less the romantic aire that appeals to me and more the character study of the piece. Evolving, changing, growing characters fighting with being loved and living in the world.

I highly suggest all three but of course they will not be everyone's cup of tea (or coffee).
