@shanselman this is why when I visited the #BioHackingVillage at @defcon I had to sign a waiver to even enter the room
So it’s quite a few years ago at #DEFCON, the year before the first #biohackingvillage. We were at the Rio that year I think? It all blends together. And there was a meeting scheduled Sunday afternoon to discuss the possibility of starting a Biohacking Village.
So we show up to this door to a meeting room along one of the hallways. Not much traffic. But the door is locked. We stand around waiting for a few minutes while Goons are radioing and calling around looking for this key.
I look around at the eight or ten people gathered and I say, “Surely one of us knows how to pick locks.”
Surely, several of us did. But even though we were supposed to be in this room, and a lot of people were working very hard for nearly 40 minutes to get the key, everyone refused to pick the lock. #DEFCON31
Biohacking village outdid themselves again with the badge. It's a heart with a heart rate monitor on it so that it will "beat" at the same rate as your heart.
