I’ve invested in things I’ve not fully understood, but only invested what I could afford to lose (and did lose).
Experience is a harsh teacher, as they say. (Here the lesson is the difference between ‘ordinary’ and ‘preference’ shares. "Equity For Punks" investors bought ordinary shares, but only preference shareholders would get their money back first in the event of a sale.)
I don't pretend to know or understand the financial legalities of this, but it all seems a bit shit on the punters who invested in #brewdog

Were you a fan of Brewdog & decided to invest in the firm thought their crowdfunding runs from 2009-2021?
If you did, I'm afraid to tell you (if you don't know already) that the purchase (and selective closures) of Brewdog's business & brand(s) by Tilray Brands means that your investment has been lost completely.
Whatever the fine details, this is hardly the news an investment friendly Chancellor would want.
Makes those CashISAa look pretty attractive, doesn't it?
It's a shame that #Brewdog had to end like this. Though it's been a bit of a shame for a while, with how one of their founders went.
I haven't had many of their beers since I left Scotland (their international selection has been pretty bleak), but I have lots of good memories at their pubs and from touring their brewery and distillery. I got to visit their Overworks building before it was officially open and drink some delicious sours. Good times.
