Like I know only 1 (!!!) 15kW electric scooter that comes with a #CCS2 charging connector (mandatory in the #EU) and that's the #BMW #CE04 which is solid 5 digits in terms of pricing and at that price point I could buy up to 2 #Aixam Minauto or Opel Rocks or almost 3 Cabin Scooters or 4 (used!) Corsa D 3-door compact hatchbacks with the 3 cylinder 1l GM ECOTEC engine...

I haven't found anyone on the internet who has done electrical work on this scoot, so there is zero documentation, and I'm a wee bit nervous.

My most recent experiment in providing an "Electric Jerrycan" for #EVs was a success! https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index.php?threads/adding-a-reserve-battery-in-the-helmet-compartment.2609/post-23386

The #Jackery 1000 was able to add 6 miles (9km) of range to the #BMW #CE04 - hopefully far enough to propel me to a real EV charger in an emergency situation.

Now for some case-modding so that this beast will fit in the helmet compartment.

Plans are coming together for a 1000-mile tour of sites important to Native American culture in Western North Carolina in July.

Since my little #BMW #CE04 only has a realistic range of ~65 miles, it's going to take some planning & ingenuity, particularly in the more remote parts of the Appalachian mountains. Also needed: places where I can charge while I eat & sleep.

If anyone has tips for the area, I'm all ears!

PS - "A Better Routeplanner" is horribly pessimistic about charging times.

Talk about range anxiety! This wasn't the only time I saw this warning during my #BikeSafeNC training ride today, but it was the closest I've ever come to needing to push an EV to a charger: 1% battery with 0 miles of estimated range left. #BMW #CE04
