Great to see the effort the @almalinux community put in to support x86_64_v2 in AlmaLinux 10! At #CERN, we already faced issues with custom-built/older equipment which was no longer supported but which we could not replace. With the next phase of the Large Hadron Collider on the horizon, we're now reviewing the life-cycle of our server fleet. Support for previous micro-architecture versions can only help with this!

#CERN: Here's a #winwin proposal: #physicists keep smashing particles, and downtime compute power feeds a distributed #AI #LLM network freely accessible to any/everyone (kinda like #Zenodo is for research/data storage now).

Even better...a custom #model that lets me run natural #language queries on your data so I can prove the #infoton exists.

Seems a logical #evolution to me, the nascent backbone of which exists (see #IPVM, and distributed comp isn't new: #SETI)

Oh #irony! I've been critical of how much is invested in particle accelerators with little generalizable #research to show outside of #physics circles. So, who is going to start hosting and archiving my #QNFO research and #openaccess #journal for #autaxys and #autology? #CERN via @zenodo_org !

I thought there were more debates on the web about how bad the #CERN branded toblerone kerning was. But it took me quite a while (maybe I'm just bad at web search) to find a photo (saved from Google result of a twitter post).

Anyways, Toblerone updated their design and font and the kerning got fixed. ... Well, people complain the new font has bad kerning, but at least the RN improved
