Yeah! I sent my monthly newsletter yesterday. It contains the dates of the next workshops (and yeah, I already stripped the text out of any links as well of "adult" words as this already happened before etc), and some concerts and film screenings.
Some email providers are blocking it (and blacklisting my email address) based on the content. The recipients are not even aware that the email was blocked, so maybe they are not getting other emails with similar keywords in the text.
Am I the only one seeing that this is highly problematic and that it transcends "user/consumer preferences"?
Imagine Deutsche Post deciding not to deliver you some letters based on whatever their impression of acceptable content is?
what can be done about this? either for the specific situation and at a major scale perspective?
we speak about content filtering in instagram etc, but these are email providers.
