The RISC-V cores fall short of Ar #CortexA73 and well short of Intel’s #Goldmont Plus. Mediatek’s In-Order #Genio1200 hyas higher clock speeds and better DRAM latency than C910 and P550. Its #CortexA55 cores are able to catch C910 and P550 without out-of-order execution.
#SiFive’s P550 and T-HEAD’s Xuantie C910 are both notable for featuring out-of-order execution on RISC-V. Both are plagued by low clock speeds.

Moreover, it appears that TMo are using the #Fibocom FG360-NA-03 specifically as seen in aforementioned datasheet. The difference with the FG360-NA-00 and FG360-NA-05 versions is that their datasheet lists "driver" as “Linux 4.1” instead of OpenWRT for the -03 spec. Main difference between all of them seems to be supported wireless bands as they apply to the carrier. The -03 variety for TMo appears to support a bunch more bands (TMo + Sprint) as a result. The #MT6890 AP is a #CortexA55, for completeness sake.

i really want a #riscv based system. i compared the speed (single/multicore) with geekbench with a #arm #cortexa55 (Amlogic S905X3) - which is about as fast as the #U740 - with my current working laptop (mbp; i7 9750h): a55: 773/2128; i7: 4791/21162. @mntmn have you run geekbench on the #reform ? how does it perform? :)
