#Deskbot today is a revisit to one of my all-time favourite characters, the Gobot Renegade, Crasher!

This beautiful Gobot update, believe it or dinna, was released in the Transformers toy line under the Velocitron Speedia subline, Hasbro brazenly using the name they own with the colour scheme they don't (though not as a mainline release, lol, and heavily purplised in her packaging art).

It was also a release that bypassed the UK almost entirely, much to this Crasher-worshipper's frustration. I had to source mine from Australia, of all places, and still got it cheaper than local eBay was selling it for!

Yesterday I finally got around to applying her Toyhax sticker set and thought she deserved another whirl before the camera to show off her new glitz and glamour. 🥰

It's a set that mostly works. It makes her Robot mode a touch too busy for my liking, but her car mode absolutely shines under all that designer livery. I do love having both of her names adorning her fins, in recognition of Hasbro's first attempt to sneak her out under the name 'Fracture' in the 2007 movie toyline, which also kinda suits her given her earthquake-causing powers.

Crasher in robot mode with all stickers applied. The stickers move her deco closer to the original Gobot toy design, while also embellishing with lashings of technical detail such as applying a Chrome finish to vents and wheel trims.

If you magnify this image on her face you'll see some of the tiniest stickers ever applied to give her face a touch more of that original look, narrowing her mouth/jaw and adding pointed mask lines beneath her eyes.

The Crasher toy back in May, unadorned. Flat colours and only a 01 on her chest to provide a vague stab at detailing.

Robo mode. She's a vision in black, white and red. Based on the Earthrise Mirage mold she (and G2 Leadfoot!) both wear this mold better than Mirage himself!

Yeah, ok, I added the pupils. She just looks massively wrong without them.

Had a very vivid dream last night about buying a specific Transformer during a weekend event in a local city that saw kids wearing Cy-Kill costumes as the Hot New Craze.

So, yay, I've finally placed an order for her, my beloved! 😍 As if by magic I found an Australian source foolishly selling her at RRP (You'll never win the scalping game that way, folks!) so cross-planetary shipping is the only extra cost I'm paying here, and that's very reasonable, considering (£15).
