Our lace group has a "challenge" project at our lace retreat each year. It is required to be on an ATC card, so you space is limited. But I love to do them. And I love the range of people's ideas.

This year my piece won in 2 categories. So I got $40 to buy more lace books and stash....

Better photos of each entry can be found on our website: nelg.us/page-1857720

A table that shows our ATC 2024 Theme as Kaleidoscope. There are 8 entries this year. Some are bobbin lace, some are needle lace, some tatting, or crochet lace.

They have repetitive motifs typically, some with eyeball images in the center. Some have shiny foil backgrounds. Each has an artwork title and a number.

There's a ballot box in the back and the ballot forms with the category list.

Possible category votes are: most unusual'; most technically impressive; best representation of the theme; and favorite ATC.A six-pointed star-like object with black linen diamonds around the outer edge. In the center of each diamond shape motif is a single line of colored glass beads. One is pink, one is purple, one is like a gold, one is aqua, one is green, one is yellow.

In the center of the star is a set of 6 smaller diamonds that are made with metallic thread so they are all shimmery and multi-colored. They are sort of wrapped with thread on the lines closer to the center.

In the very center is a small single gold bead that is kind of like a disco ball.

ATC cards are 2.5 x 3.5 inches so you have to fit into that space.
