The one #Demonitisation memory that stands out is going out at 4.00am to the ATM before the queues started getting really long, getting a puncture on the way, pushing it to the nearest puncture shop and waiting four hours for it to open. Then realising that I couldn't pay him with my card #blackday

So many lives lost directly or indirectly because of #Demonitisation. So many families pushed back into the poverty which they were slowly crawling out of. So many dreams shattered.
Is anyone keeping track?
Are the people responsible for this any less than war criminals? Shouldn't they be tried by criminal courts?

Another friend spoke of how her father passed away before #Demonitisation without leaving a nominee in the bank. By the time they got the paperwork sorted and opened the bank locker, the stacks of money her father had kept in the locker was worthless. An entire lifetime of savings wiped out- no legal recourse.
