I was part of a team making a battle robot that happened to look like Terminator. It went rogue and after a long deltarune-style fight in which several of us died, we defeated it. Later we found CCTV of the robot stating it would have shut down early in the fight but decided to switch to the new firmware one of the team had written in secret over a weekend after his wife and kids left him. That team member survived the fight and later the robot returned to ask to be adopted by him.

I took part in a charity bike ride along a route I should have known well, but after the event started it got dark very quickly and some sections were pitch black and much steeper than I remembered. I eventually found my way back but by the time I had returned the event had been cancelled because the organisers had discovered that the charity they were supporting hadn't been vetted properly

I was part of a group trying to steal something or someone from a hospital. I'd been given the role of getting a job there under a false name. Unfortunately I did a bad job at the paperwork which ended up with two different names on it and I didn't change my ID either, so the receptionist asked me curiously, "You go by X, Y, *and* Katherine?". I sighed and said "it's a long story." Fortunately the receptionist was very helpful and said "don't worry, I've got you" and filed it anyway.

I dreamt I was in a bicycle race and was live-streaming the event. Partway through, I had to pee and decided this made for good content. I told my audience I would show them how to pee in public without anyone knowing. I pulled my bike shorts down to my knees and sat my ass right down on a lawn. My knees were up and my bare ass was on the grass. I was soaking myself in pee, but proud of myself for no one knowing.

Then my sister, in little kid form, crawled over to me and said, "everyone can totally tell you're peeing."

#DreamLog Two further nightmares last night (one merely about encountering a snake and a worm that crawled over me; the other much grander involving earthquakes and aftershocks causing cities to flood and trying to escape from those), what's going on in there, brain?

There were body parts tucked untidily and bloodily behind the wall art, and while we were looking at them in horror we were jumpscared by the killer jolting out of the shadows like a wraith.

One of those "actually wakes you up with a gasp" nightmares, I've had to take some paces around the house.

I had a nightmare in which I was playing Blue Prince with a friend (no spoilers here)—they were controlling the game and I was writing notes as they went along. After discovering some important lore that suggested there was a serial killer in our family tree, the game uncharacteristically asked if we wanted to return to the Study. My friend clicked yes just before I put together the pieces that the killer was hiding there. I called out to stop them but it was too late. 1/2

I had a weird heist/romcom dream last night which included four Lamborghinis, two closeted Jewish gay guys, a hot chick in lingerie, and a womanizing dude bro. The two gay guys found love, and the dude bro did not. I think the hot chick ended up with all the money. Just as it should be #dream #dreamLog

I dreamt a (fictional) friend had turned into a pool of thick tarry oil, terminator 2 style, and she didn't like it. We found a community of water beings who helped her cast off the oil and join them in a collective pool of water.

I dreamt I had two cats and a printer the size of a cavern. To service it, I had to train the cats to walk through maintenance tunnels I was too big to get through. The cats suddenly became reluctant to do this and I discovered it was because there was a new kitten in the tunnel and the cats didn't want to go near it. We eventually adopted the kitten.

I dreamt I was driving a steam train and it existed in a pocket of time set in the past. Wherever we went, the station turned old timey and people would come to ride the train to apologise to others for things they had done wrong in the past (but still in the future within the bubble)

I dreamed I was at a high school prom and was in charge of crowning the Queen of the Wood. All sorts of girls looked at me expectantly, but none of them seemed right for it. People started to leave and I still hadn't crowned anyone. Just before the place was closed up for the night, a girl showed up in an incredible gown. She looked like a tamarack tree. I gave her the crown which turned into a huge yellow and white serpent which draped itself around her neck. #Dream #DreamLog

I dreamt I went to Zellers but most of the lights were off. The store was open anyway. I wandered through and found a man showing his little boy a world map. He pointed to Africa and said that's where they were from. I walked through a tunnel past some goth girls and found a goth store. The shopkeep said she was going on break and invited me to have lunch with her. We sat in the middle of a road to eat. A giant yellow pickup truck drove up to us. I jumped up and hung by my elbows from the hood when I realized she wouldn't stop. She didn't care that I was clinging to the hood. She looked me dead in the eye and sped up. I was sure she'd stop and let me off, but she kept going faster. I managed to safely jump free and then I woke up. #dream #DreamLog

I dreamt I'd been attending free group therapy and free yoga classes but that both had announced they needed to start drawing in money to continue. Instead of charging per session, they mooted televising the therapy and creating a cirque de soleil style troupe, but nude, respectively. I didn't like the sound of doing either.

I dreamt I worked in a busy office and was expecting an important phone call. Finally Dad let me know the call came. He sent it to my desk. It was Cheerios telling me there was a hole in my pocket. #dream #DreamLog

I dreamt I could only wear blue because looking at other colours gave me migraines, and I was explaining to someone at a conference how that made finding hotels difficult. They pointed me to one that claimed to be for people like me, so I decided to give it a go.

My suite was made entirely of glass, mostly frosted, and had the vibe of a swimming pool changing area—each room had a drain and most of them smelled. Upon waking up next day I discovered the bedroom had a peephole into it.

An old dream from my dream diary:

I had an incredibly gory and bizarre dream that I fell afoul of a cult of masochistic body modders and apotemnophiles who were determined to have me join their ranks. One woman wore a full face hood (like a zentai suit) because she had removed her eyes and had stitched her mouth and eyelids shut. One guy had bandages all over his arm. One guy had gears and cogs attached to his head. They were trying to force me to maim myself with a circular saw, but they relented when they realized I’d already modded my penis so it could play the saxophone. I then got out my crappy little Swiss Army knife knockoff and used the saw on it to hack cog guy from stern to stem. Superman was somehow involved. And then I woke up. #dream #DreamLog
