Pathfinder finally finding her way into (modern) Transformers representation is a moment of joy.

The blue suits this Cosmos mold better than the green, I think. #GobotBias

Transformation is finely poised between simple and interesting. I especially love how bam!-economical the heel design is.

Alt mode still looks hilariously like a cook pot on a travel stove but this is a legacy of Cosmos' cartoon-based design aethetic that I can easily forgive, mostly because I love to laugh. For anyone unfamiliar: it is meant to be a UFO. #BestDisguiseEver

Cosmos came with a flag because of a weirdly race-themed selection of toys (see: Speedia) -race as in competitive sport- but here it proudly displays the Gobot Guardians logo for the first time on a toy since, what, the 80s? A magnificent detail.

I frikkin love me some Gobots.

Pathfinder in UFO alt-mode. Mostly blue with a black 'rim' (oo-er) and a facing panel on the pot in metallic grey with various colourful details including the autobot logo. Attached to the left side is the flag stroke gun weapon that comes with the figure.Pathfinder converted into Robot mode, now holding the weapon as a flag. Conversion introduced a lot of yellow into the figure, on facing arm panels and legs and hip-plates. The head is a red fez-like shape with a yellow face-plate and striking blue eyes. The black has receded leaving blue and yellow as the colour scheme. Neat trick. She's tubby in this mode but that just makes her more adorable.The Flag weapon by itself, flag piece aligned 90 degrees around to show off that glorious logo which, I now realise, is a classic original representation of the what we now call 80s RetroSynthWave, a sun rising over a flat grid plane, here angled up right. Gobots, retro-cool before retro was even a thing.

I thought my Transformers Collecting was over....finished. But I should have known It never ends.

But these are my final final purchases. No more after this, okay?

I will finish X-Transbots trio of Omnibots if they can complete it before the heat death of the universe.

I will finish BOTH SETS of e-Hobby Gobots as produced by a) New Age and b) Hasbro.

i will love the hell out of the Knight Rider / Transformer mash-up I've just paid for.

AND THAT'S IT. DONE. COMPLETE. LEAVE ME ALONE. I'M NOT KIDDING. THIS TIME FOR SURE.

Magnificus in robot mode. His Microscope slash Shoulder cannon apparently allows him to enbiggen microscopic objects. It does this so well it connected to a bona-fide Microverse!Magnificus doing a stride-forward action pose. His character is very reminiscent of Maximus Decimus Meridius from the film Gladiator.A close up of head and torso. That headsculpt is very Optimus Prime if he were a turbo nerd, um, deposed commander of evil armies.Magnificus in his microscope mode. Definitely no alt-mode Functionalism here! "Science? Me? This little white and blue bad boy (ho ho) arrived today after being on pre-order for a while: the Gobot Transformer, Bad Boy!

YES, all Gobots are Transformers now. Distant extra-dimensional cousins.

With this arrival my dream of owning updated versions of the eHobby Gobots, that started as a Withered Hope, is one step closer to fruition!

Come on, New Age, you can do it!

The Gobot Bad Boy in robot mode, in his white and blue Transformer body based on the Powerglide mold. This toy is made by third party company, New Age.Bad boys! The model from the previous photo is joined by his original Gobot toy, a dark green bersion of the same plane, the Warthog A-10, but with a very different transformation.Bad Boy joined by two earlier New Age releases, the Gobots Pathfinder and Bug Bite. That's half the original set of six, guys...Bad Boy, Pathfinder are joined by Hasbro's release of Road Ranger (in the eHobby colours, no less). Unfortunately not to scale as he's twice the size of the others but it still kinda works. Also joining them is the very special Universe Blackarachnia repaint, Crystal Widow! In the Fun Publications prose story, Withered Hope, the Gobots turned to her for help, eventually waking her out of her despair at being trapped in the city of Axiom Nexus an entire universe away from her lover, Skyjack.
