I got my Electric Objects EO1 (Beta version) going again. Anyone remember these art frames?
The company is long gone and Giphy who bought them kept the servers going for longer than I expected but finally two weeks they got decommissioned.
Luckily the EO1 runs Linux so I recovered my art and made it run again. I also have an EO2 but it has some Geniatech android embedded board and I am not hopeful to be able to resurrect that one.
My Electric Objects E01 has finally died. The day finally arrived. Years after the demise of Electric Objects as a company, my E01 died. This is my remembrance of a long gone hardware startup's quirky piece of hardware that grew into a treasured window on life.
