On my trip I unexpectedly ended up in #italy It wasn't a plan at all but when someone comes to you with "I am moving from Zurich to Torino, I just put trailer behind my bike and looking for some help."

Even in Switzerland I feel bit like at home ;-)
They were quite a bit different than the ones along our borders, some features missing, some placed weird and it doesn't have the mashine gun post at the entrance.
So because I have to be in #switzerland next Friday I have to take train from #salzburg , unfortunately only train that I can take with my bike is 2:30 Nightjet.
So what should I do until then?
(I have to be next to the border with France, I am taking the train in 12h and riding through Switzerland on bike)
I haven't been that high since Spain...
Yesterday 1000m today nearly 1100m (still to go there) and tomorrow if everything goes right I will go to Štrbské pleso which is about 1400m.
The Tatra mountains look stunning with the snow cap.

When you know about good spot...
Nesting falcons so surrounding was closed to not disturb them, fortunately 200m away was another one (not that good but it was enough for the night).
Treacherous path to this place, the photo don't look that bad but the we nearly fall down to the stream multiple times getting our bikes over it.
The hut looked bit unused, no-one was there probably in winter. It was enough at least we didn't need to pitch our tents in the wet grass.

We got a rest Sunday near Tábor at my friend's house, he was so nice to replace this bracket for the front rack. It broke about day before El got to CZ and we got it welded in museum.
Yeah they were nice to try it but the weld was only on surface and broke again about 1km later...
The museum was still working water hammer in Dobřív, so not that strange that they had a welding machine.
Also it was decided that the bike needs more racing look with the drop...

Right now I somehow managed to end up in apartment way above what I will be able to afford with view on Eiffel tower.
Nice guy bikepacker that I met few days ago in Amboise on weekend trip offered place to stay but I didn't expect this.

I didn't even push that hard, fortunately it is from the inside and all the seams and welds look okay from outside.
It was nice week to ride with someone but we have different routes for next month, we will join each other in Czech Republic.
I was told that my setup looks too serious...
So I installed the mechanical headwind meter.
So it happened, I procrastinated so long with posting pictures that my phone died...
Nothing is lost, they are on SD card but my backup phone doesn't have a slot for it. And can't downsize photos.
I am already in #France , have a good weather, few days of rain but nothing that serious. The terrain is really flat here and roads really good, I just didn't had the need to load gps navigation yet how well they are signed.
On the coast it feels somehow like #bikepacking at home (some of you may guess to which picture I am referring to).
Yeah and I met Eli, she is going pretty much the same way so I ride with her for few days.
You know what they say about when you take something apart and put it together again that some bolts will remain unused, for me it was the through axel that didn't make it in to the box.
Also I decided to take a bus, trains here don't take assembled bikes and since I had to disassemble it I decided to took night bus to Bilbao (probably the closest direct route to French border still 150km of riding to it).
It took me only about an ½ hour to put it there, probably bit bigger box and I am less careful.
I am unsure what to do next. The weather doesn't look that good in the next week but what bothers me more is the state of the route I would like to take. (Yeah they don't bother to sign them in Spain and it is really bad for EV routes).
So I am considering taking the train to the French border and start riding there, at least on the official website it looks like it should be fully developed with signs and stuff. It won't help with weather but it will be some change at least.
The train is from Santiago de Compostela to Pamplona.

Today my route was 105km, it sounds like a lot but more than 20km was by ferry. This ups my ferry count to 4.
1st in the #spain where I thought it was a bridge, with the route overlay in OsmAnd I couldn't tell.
2nd from Ayamonte to #portugal
3rd and 4th today. I arrived to the first port 5 min after it left and had to wait for an hour. I met two Americans riding from Morocco to Lisbon.

I arrived to Lisbon.
It was smooth ride, on some sections I averaged more than 25km/h so fast ride on nice roads. I just got in to the riding mood and didn't take much pictures, so here at least few of the roads and my tent.
