So I've updated my guardian's fashion once again. Happens often enough, right? lol
This time, going with the Warbeast pauldrons and gauntlets. Looks pretty sweet!

For my charr guardian's "celebrand" build for WvW (ummm...) purposes, I unlocked the Fiery Dragon Slayer scepter and torch skins!

Rounding out the fashion with appropriate weapon skin choices is always very important!
Here is Brandt, my charr guardian in Guild Wars 2, making a show of the Dragon Slayer Axe and Guild Tower Shield he uses for a couple of his firebrand sets.
Am very happy with this combo.
It's been nice to divert away from the Primordus weapon skins like I had used for quite some time before.

Trying out one of my Mistwalker Infusions again on my guardian here. Very shiny!
I like it. I find that if you use a cape, you have to go with some really sparkly white dyes for it in order to make it look like part of the set, since the infusion doesn't normally affect back pieces as one may prefer. Hmm!

For my beautiful charr self on Guild Wars 2, I decided to get the Wolfheart Sword skin to try out for his fashion. Definitely not disappointed. It's really a very nice addition to the collection!
So here's Brandt, posing at Black Citadel again. As you can see, I've kept the Vagabond Cape in this design, and it goes really well with the Ebon Pauldrons. So pleased with that!

Back to a more familiar previous design, except with some variations on it. I got the salvaged forged gloves from the gem store recently, so giving those a try. And the cape from the vagabond set actually goes pretty well with the Ebon pauldrons.
So no more jedi fashion for now. lol

With the new pants skin from Lunar New Year event in #GuildWars2, I could make one of my characters look like a scaly dragon with a tail!

This game is so good when it comes to fashion, and I love what poeple can come up with it.

I decided to pick up the new hood and cloak set available in Guild Wars 2's Black Lion chests...
Here's my ranger, Brandt Brindleforge, sporting the new look. It's pretty nice! And... it includes some stylin' hair peaking out from under the hood portion. Pretty sweet!

Here's a bit of an adjustment on my dye choices for the new fashion setup I've got on my guardian. I've slightly toned down how blinding this toon can be when standing in daylight. Shows a little more of the texture details in the armor...

Seeing as I updated my revenant in Guild Wars 2 with a new gloves skin I had acquired, I decided to do the same for my guardian. Kinda needed a bit of an update, perhaps.
So here he is, heroicly gazing into the distance, looking all cool and... stuff. Or hot. His colour scheme is rather toasty, after all... lol

Very helpful community (in-game, official forums). And the developer, #ArenaNet is very welcoming of everyone. They recently concluded a years long LGBT relationship into a marriage in the latest expansion. Everyone was happy about it. We all followed the story of those two great characters since they met each other 10 years ago (real time).

There is a feature limited free trial available. Then you can purchase the game and its expansions. Playing is free forever, you only have to buy once.

While there is a Gem store, there are no items that are sold which gives an advantage over other players. Pretty much everything is about fashion and item/mount skins, and similar (it's why the game is also dubbed #FashionWars).

Also, in-game gold can be converted to Gems. If you're good with farming and getting a good deal with the exchange, then you're at par with those who buy Gems with real-money.

Some vanity items are also sold in other ways. So, if later they do decide to offer a non-vanity item, they will more likely make it accessible in other ways, too. But, again, it's doubtful they'll offer such an item since the devs themselves are against it.

So, yeah, it's not a “pay-to-win” MMO.

I play casually myself. In #GW2, you can go in hiatus and come back a few years later, even a decade later, and you'll still be at par with everyone else. There's no need to grind gear just to catch up with everyone.
