I'm glad to see someone is working on a federated #Discord-like platform. Too much of the open web is being centralized on Discord, and it's soon to become a public company. We know what's going to happen after that. #Federation https://itsfoss.com/roomy-discord-alternative/
The way most basic microblogging and profile-based fediverse apps and front ends work today is painfully ignorant of federation itself. Everything is focused around a single feed of posts by followers and followed hashtags. This is a terrible practice for discoverability. Discoverability is more challenging than it should be.

Please find me a case, where there is a federated database. The data should be kept private for each company/participant, but all of them should be able to access the data and for example conduct research with it, without being able to pinpoint back to the original data&its owner. Technically this should be doable with a federated system.
Do you know if such system exists? Let me know, from any field and from anywhere in the world.
