A perfect #sunset from the summer of 2022 at Lake KirkajΓ€rvi, Posio, Finland.
The clouds in the sky included the sheet of #Altocumulus stratiformis on the horizon in the right, as well as smaller #Stratocumulus #castellanus. Above those, whispy #Cirrus #fibratus and Cirrus #spissatus.
A picture of a sunset from a sandy beach by a mirror calm lake. The horizon on the right is obscured by an opaque sheet of Altocumulus stratiformis, but the orange glow of the setting sun can be seen radiating from under it. The rest of the sky is mostly clear, except for the darker shapes of the Stratocumulus and the brigter Cirrus. This second picture was taken a bit later. the sunset is coloring the sky with warmer shades. This picture is more zoomed in on the left of the scene. The Stratocumulus castellanus remains dark, but the Cirrus starts to take on more prominent hues.In the last picture the sky is yet darker. The Cirrus forms streaks of striking pink on the blue sky that turns pale and orange at the horizon.
