If these companies get a 1% reply rate of "don't send me mails marketing X" that should probably be enough, because they won't get 1% replies saying "don't mail me UNLESS you include the logo and link marketing X".

If you want do something re X this is my new habit.
Reply to e-mails displaying X in the footer:
"Please don't send me e-mails marketing X-corp by displaying their icon and a link to them."
We must make companies and organisations understand that there is a cost in lost goodwill and reputation. They have it there for marketing reasons, so if it has an adverse effect it can change their mind over time.
I see people are stirring up outrage with screenshots of old tweets, again 🙄
Seriously, folks, the timestamp is right there; November 14th, 2021.

Stop posting screenshots of Elon Musk being an ass on here. We all know he's an ass, we all know he’s a fascist.
If you want to get mad at something, there's plenty that is actually CURRENT, and happening RIGHT NOW.
Kick the fucking habit already.
It's strange to me how white people are still posting screenshots from the X formerly known as Twitter on here.
It is like they do not (wish to) understand that this continues to legitimise the nazi bar as a source of worthwhile takes, funny or otherwise.
Leave X, and delete your account.
Today is an excellent day to delete your account on the X formerly known as Twitter, if for some ridiculous reason you still have not left the nazi bar.
That means you too, journalists and politicians who claim they aren't collaborators.
And stop linking there, referring to it with screenshots, and so forth. It's the DOGE party propaganda platform, stop pretending it is still a reliable source for anything.
Don't think we don't notice that little Twitter or X icon still tucked away in some little corner of your website. It sends a signal, and not a positive one.
Rip. It. Out.
“A rise in online racism driven by fake images is ‘just the start of a coming problem’ after the latest release of X’s AI software, online abuse experts have warned.
Concerns were raised after computer-generated images created using Grok, X’s generative artificial intelligence chatbot, flooded the social media site in December last year.
Signify […] said it has seen an increase in reports of abuse since Grok’s latest update, and believes the introduction of photorealistic AI will make it far more prevalent.”
Leave X. Delete your account.

“As a business proposition, Elon Musk’s ownership of X, formerly known as Twitter, has so far been a disaster […]
As a political proposition, however, Musk’s purchase may turn out to be one of the shrewdest investments of all time. Every week, the platform seems to supercharge a news issue that comes to dominate conservative discourse – and often mainstream discourse, as well – with real political repercussions.”
Again; $44B to gain control of the platform and kill Twitter was cheap.

From November 17th, 2024;
“Elon Musk’s X may have tweaked its algorithm to boost his account, along with those of other conservative-leaning users, starting around the time he announced his support of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. That’s according to a new study published by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), which found that Musk’s posts in particular were suddenly much more popular.”
Like we told you, over and over; the X formerly known as Twitter is a right-wing propaganda channel.

Oh, and when you finally do delete your account on the X formerly known as Twitter, remember to remove any and all references to it, from your website, other online profiles, your resume, perhaps your business cards, etc.
In fact, even if you can't delete it yet, for whatever reason, at least do that.
Purge it from all the things.
I'll be impressed when these "users" are up on their FEET.
Either get off or get out.
Even the tech rags are writing howto articles now, if you want a guided tour for how to delete your account on the X formerly known as Twitter;
https://www.theverge.com/24293448/x-twitter-musk-deactivate-how-to
For those worried about someone squatting on their old Twitter handle; remember that inactive accounts still count towards the total, and that you really should just abandon the place altogether.
But if you are one of the few people who actually can't, even two years later, try this instead;
Дехто сів на вершину світу через оболванювання народу у Твітторі. Хто володіє інформацією, той володіє світом.
Як цивілізована частинка світу протистоятиме Новому Світопорядку на чолі з Маском, Сі, Пітуном та Обраном?
X is now literally the biggest fascist propaganda machine in the world. Park your nostalgia for the thing it once was. Just get the fuck off it. Stop making excuses. #GetOffX
Also, remember that, to delete your account on the X formerly known as Twitter, you need to deactivate it, and then wait 30 days for it to actually be deleted.
Stop making excuses, and do the thing.

If you still need a reason to deactivate your account on the X formerly known as Twitter, how about because it shows billionaires like Elon Musk and Marc Andreessen what a 'free market’ is actually like when consumers get to vote with their wallets, time, and eyeballs?
Piss off a billionaire, deactivate your account today!
It's time. I've been inactive on X since before the name changed even though I started on the service 17 years ago—long before Trump or Musk were even there.
I am going to bring my pinned tweet-thread over here and then nuke the account.
#GetOffX
While I deleted my :birdsite: presence long ago, there's still an old account there for @gilahava704's and my podcast site. It's long past time to #GetOffX, so we're moving on to a good old-fashioned newsletter. Check it out!
