My AM gocomics.com run this morning has one strip that hits home. Respect to #GetFuzzy artist Darby Conley for coming up with the line “works as well as the electrical system of a Triumph TR7.”
Anyone who has ever owned a Triumph car or motorcycle (Triumph 500 Tiger motorcycle for me) will relate to this.
And it brings up the old joke:
“Why do the British drink warm beer?”
“Because they have Lucas refrigerators."

In a few weeks, I bet #Doonesbury will make some metacognitive joke about #Dilbert author Scott Adams' antics and ceased syndications. It's a pretty progressive strip that mentions stuff about other strips and pop culture. There may be more allusions too. I could see #GetFuzzy, #NonSequitur, #JumpStart etc making allusions to it too. "Hey, did you hear about the cartoonist who got his strip pulled from the papers?"
