The application window for these $50K - $300K grants being offered thru the #gitcoin ecosystem is open for a short while longer. Some grants are to build community garden type things.
I put about 140 dollars into gitcoin 2+ years ago, and it has not made a handsome return; do not plan to apply for any of these, though I see some good ideas here.

Why do people perceive #web3 and #crypto as scam, if there are many legit #web3 projects, like Filecoin (decentralized Cloud Storage for crypto), Gitcoin (way to fund features for your software, or earn on adding them without having a constant job), Gnosis Safe (allows to share wallets without trusting each other)?
Crypto apps have smoother and better UX than bank apps, also it's easier to automate your money-flows (like auto-paying bills, taxes, tracking transactions) and analyse them (there is no API access in banks for common users), or collect that money on retail (no registration, just run your script and share qr). Also Ethereum wallets became security factors (most dApps don't need to use email/password registration), which is good and very convenient.
I don't want to use speculation terminology (like FUD), just explain in to me in common terms. If I'd create a music streaming service, or grocery store, and add web3 integration you would also call it "scam"?
Ethereum is already a PoS (Proof of Stake) crypto which means it has less carbon footprint than single bank.
Do #Mastodon consider use of #Gitcoin to auto-fund it's features? I would gladly make some ;)
