Made a new release of the QGIS H3 toolkit plugin!

It contains various fixes and improvements , a new tool and long overdue H3 lib v4.x support 🙂

It's pending approval to the official plugin repository.

Just learnt about the #quadbin spatial indexing. There is not much information about it compared to #geohash, #h3 or #s2. Has anyone worked with it before? Are there any pitfalls that I am missing, because it sounds freakin cool.

@n8gnj That’s interesting #Tidradio is embracing that open source marketing angle. I think that’s within the last few months. Kind of like with the quansheng #uvk5 or #opengd77 radios. Yeah, it’s hard to figure out what the deal is with getting your #H3 flashed because a lot of the “support” is on f$;&book but nicsure is the firmware most use. В интернете много статей о том, как можно использовать Redis для реализации задач гео-поиска (поиск объектов поблизости, поиск объектов внутри определенной области и т..д). Во многих упоминается о том, что редис можно легко масштабировать горизонтально, добавляя шарды в кластер, при этом логика распределения данных по шардам он берет на себя, без необходимости реализовывать ее на уровне приложения. На деле же все оказывается не совсем так или совсем не так. Для тех, кто не хочет много читать про то, как мы реализовывали гео-поиск - ключевые слова: geoadd, georadius, пространственные индексы h3.
