The finance department of Hábitat para la Humanidad Paraguay took a day to volunteer & work on the house for a partner family. I commented to a colleague there how I admired that. Attached is the reply.

Nearing end of first day at a new #HabitatForHumanity build site in Paraguay. I could not keep up with these other #volunteers. They have all done at least three of these in other countries, except for one other person & me. They never stopped unless forced to take a break. I'm still feeling weak from a recent ER visit & exhausted way early. These folks are not here to take Instagram photos - get out of their way, they are building a house! Huge kudos to local Habitat team for amazing prep.

Another cool piece of retro tech from my local Habitat for Humanity store, a Revere 16mm sound film projector. Love All the metal with baked paint and the lovely case with a speaker behind the fancy grill and a hidden compartment for wires and accessories. Very nice for the time. Love it, but no place for it. Would be great in somebody's theater room or indie theater lobby.

Lovely vintage Revere 16mm sound movie projector with a a $75 thrift store price sign on it.

The case for the projector in the other picture, a brown wooden lid that fits over the top and latches at the bottom, with a carry handle on top. Part of one end is open with accessories inside. There is an elaborate grill on the side that covers a speaker.

Today I decluttered four large outdoor rockers and their two small matching tables, two outdoor pub chairs, an American flag left here by the previous owners, pool noodles, and the ceiling fan that used to live in the kitchen. Thank god for the #habitatforhumanity #restore. They're a little Jesus-y for me, but I appreciate their mission.
