You know how when you were 15 you hated getting useful Christmas presents like socks and #handkerchiefs, you wanted money instead? Well, now that I'm 50 I am very grateful for the handkerchiefs my mother made me for Christmas. She recycled some old table cloths to make them, they're a good heavy #cotton unlike most commercial hankies, and having now used one of them for the first time I can confirm that they do an excellent job of soaking up #snot.

I love this pretty belt buckle & matching button, I get to be creative with, on my Bits & Bobs wallhanging. 😍👏💙💖

Weird old-fashioned question: does anyone know how/where I can find fabric handkerchiefs that don’t get all crinkly along the edges when washed? My older ones keep flat edges and fold well, but newer ones get all crinkly on the edges and they’re bulky when folded. And what makes the difference? Is it the thread count or the hemming method? How can I tell, before buying, if it will wash well?
