I FINALLY MADE A DECISION!

I have ordered a couple of good quality used sony discmans from eBay. That way I can either pick whichever one doesn't have too much noise, or have a spare good one when the first wears out.

Thanks for all the help. And all the other ideas I will keep in mind when I have more brain to fiddle with tech. 💖
