I so love Astrantias, and am relieved I didn't re-plant an Agastache nearby this little one again this year. These pretty flowers were quite smothered by it, we didn't get to see much of them. They are looking very lovely at the moment! #gardening #hardyperennials
Trying to take photos of what's looking happy in the garden at the moment, only a week since I took these and more plants are coming into flower already. Geum 'Mai Tai' with it's flushed apricot flowers is really filling out this year, a possible contender for dividing later on. The beautiful purple Geranium 'Nimbus' flowers are mesmerising, I just love them! Tiarella cordifolia is doing well all over the place, and Ajuga has survived another year by the pond. πΌπΊπ΅οΈ #gardening #hardyperennials
Late afternoon sun shining through the blue-purple flowers of Centaurea montana, with Aquilegia bobbing in the breeze to the left. I love May, seeing the perennials return and flower to their hearts content! π±πΊ #lovespring #gardening #hardyperennials
Narcissus 'Erlicheer' is now flowering away! π So pretty! And one 'Actaea' is out so far. We have more perennials emerging, two of which I'd thought hadn't survived the cold snap in December, and was really wishing I'd overwintered them under cover. I'm thrilled to see their leaves this week! One of those days when I'm blown away by the hardiness of plants! πΌπΈ

When you pop outside to hang up the washing, and end up pulling up perennial weeds and photographing plants ππΈπ. It doesn't look like much, and it's all a work in progress, but this was originally a mass of brambles, and I'm just so happy right now to see these little guys, back for another year and flowering their socks off! #lovespring #hardyperennials
