I've completed my #ZenWork #project This old Japanese style screen was is rough shape and I've been taking my time slowly, dismantling them, re-glueing wood, and then paper, the reassembling them. Learning different techniques for each of the screens and how to use dilute wood glue.

I won't say I've "finally" finished. Because finishing wasn't really the point. The work itself was and now it's done I can think about something else to garden...

#woodworking #paper #diy #homeReMade

A Japanese style, tri-fold, paper screen sits on a rug with a light behind it. The horazontal and vertical slats can be seen through the paper giving a grid effect.

Two of the panels have stains and broken wood and rips and tears of all kinds. Even on patch that looks like some monster has puked up on it.

One of the panels appears to not have any of these issues. That's because it's the first panel that was complete by the author of this post. The screen, completed. All three panels have been re-papered and all the wood has been re-glued. The same daylight shines through from the back.

There is a small amount of imperfection in the work. But it gives the effect of self-work rather than bad-work.
