Even after months using #iOS26Beta my brain still hasn't accustomed to search bars in Apple apps now being located along the bottom.

It's nice to see so many apps released today like @sequel, Fantastical where search is now within easy reach and it'll make navigating every app quicker and consistent

I haven't been able to install the #TestFlight version of my app on my Mac running #macOS26 during this entire beta period - is this only a me thing? It installs fine on Macs running the released version 😅 #iosdev #macdev #ios26beta #ios26

#iOS26 and #iPadOS26 are so not ready for release. Honestly, they are not ready for any kind of public preview. Have a look at the current version of the Photos app. How did this pass internal review?

Just noticed on iOS 26 Beta if I swipe down on the Dynamic Island while music is playing, the music part of it goes away, but if I swipe up on the island it comes back... is this a bug or a feature I wasn't aware of.

Another #iOS26Beta bug, still in #iOS26Beta8: After the device installs the update, the device acts as if the mute switch is on, even when it is not. You need to flip the switch off and back on again and then it's fine until the next update. At least on my iPhone Pro 13 Max.

I imagine Apple staff don't use a device this old anymore, so they likely don't even have mute switches.

Said it with #ios26beta 5 and I’ll say it again now we’ve got beta 6, THIS is feeling much closer to optimised, even faster and smoother than beta 5.

Good to see Apple go back to the camera controls we all know and love and remove the stupid option to reverse it.

6 new Reflection ringtones plus a completely new one called Little Bird.

iPad Exposé now displays the app icon below each preview which is very nice.

My Withings BPM device no longer connects to my iPhone since upgrading to #ios26beta5 Worked fine on beta 4. Works fine connected to a test Android device.

The same unknown senders thing in messages is brutal. Same bug where it goes back years, but also, in practise with the previous system, when I receive a spam message, I see it in the list and ignore or delete it. Now spam gets more attention since it has a badge and makes me go to another screen, see it’s spam, then back again. A previously no-action millisecond process now takes multiple actions and multiple seconds.

Seriously, #iOS26Beta is annoying! It keeps resetting my “unknown callers”, back years! These 612 calls are from as far back as 2023.

This OS is just brutally bad.

I’ve been using the #iOS26Beta‘s since day 1 (now on beta 5). I have no idea what to expect when I take a screenshot now. It’s like it triggers a random number generator (AI maybe?). Sometimes it shows the UI to edit/crop/save etc. Sometimes it just auto saves and returns to the active app. Sometimes it just gives me a blank screen (just a blurry image of my wallpaper) and requires a swipe to get back to the active app.

Anyone know the secret of why a particular path is chosen?

I wish the camera mode selection just popped up in a vertical floating glass bubble and listed all the modes with icons next to them and I can see them ALL and flick/tap immediately to the mode I want #ios26beta

Gotta hand it to Apple the call screening feature works as advertised! I will point out Google voice had this a decade ago but having this built into the default phone app is a game changer. Goodbye scam callers. #ios26 #ios26beta #apple
