Okay. I have sobbed my way through two of the final three chapters. I really like these people.
Enough. If you love soap opera, go read this. It's even better my second time around, and I love that in a book.
I tend to race through adventure stories the first time, to Find Out! So, those writers who are so good you love it more the second time, because you read more slowly and take in the depths, and the nuances, and fall even harder for the characters!

Book for the synagogue book club was switched, after I bought the first book. The switch was at least to one I was able to borrow from the public library.
Having begun to read both now, I think the original one was/is at least a good book but the second is awful... But at this point I think I'll push through the garbage anyways & then read the first one, before going to the book club meeting & being prepared with a review of both.🙃
