Both of these features feel like they help reduce fatigue when your driving and I have found myself feeling less tired after a long journey. They both though still need human intervention occasionally so you need to pay attention and fully understand how they work and what their limitations are. One criticism I would highlight to VW is there is no physical or PDF handbook for the ID.3 you have to either go online or through the car menus.#EVRoadTrip #ElectricVehicle #id3 #Copenhagen #volkswagen
The travel assist is like lane keep assist, but more accurate at keeping you in lane it will also change lanes when driving over 60mph when safe and is initiated with the indicator. The system uses radar and all 4 cameras on the car . It does remind you to keep your hands on the steering wheel and can send with capacitive sensors when you don’t. #EVRoadTrip #ElectricVehicle #id3 #Copenhagen #volkswagen
Two features that are a vast improvement on the Corsa are radar cruise control and travel assist. The Corsa only came with standard cruise control.
I’ve had radar cruise control before and found it less tiring to drive long motorway journeys. VW’s implementation is an improvement on what I’ve used before, I’ve found it can also be used on single carriageway roads. It works of mapping and road signs, but can occasionally get confused.
