A brick building. It is a mess-hall for an ironworks. It was built in 1943, and some iron letters can be seen commemorating this on the facade. There are a couple of tall windows, an a modern looking door. A few stone steps leads up to the door. There are some foliage near the entrance. The photograph is black and white, and is taken at an angle, facing one of the corners of the building. There is a fence featuring iron-bulls near the entrance as well. The sun is shining, illuminating the side with the entrance.

Taken during summer. This old "palace of culture" was located in a small town I visited during my late vacation in September. This ornate entrance was quite the sight, and the house itself is pretty nice. It apparently has a twin located in a neighboring town; though they mirrored the schematic, making it more of a reflection than a twin maybe.

Some weeks ago, I visited an old monastery ruin nearby. The weather was very nice for the season, and it was quite warm. I had a nice little trip walking around the area. Took a walk in a nearby nature reserve an hour away from my hometown. It was a windy and cold day, but the field was nice. Partly it was to get out and get some fresh air, and partly to test a Nikon F50 that I recently acquired from an acquaintance. It works well, but I'm not used to the level of automation it offers. Firs off, it didn't work well with the Fomapan Film I had, because it requires DX-film, which it does not have. Also, I have not figured out any good way to manually override what it reads of that, so no way to push or pull with it for now. It is kind of nice to just "point and shoot" though, and even if you use manual-mode, you get the auto-advance of film at least.

A strange tree near my darkroom. I don't really know what kind of tree it is, but there is a technique where you cut off the top of the tree to get it to sprout new stems, which seems to have been used here. The bark is very coarse and twisted around the lower part of it. HP5+ pushed to ISO 1600.

A twisting, coarse tree with small sprouting stems around the top. It is listing to one side. The ground is full of leaves. It is late fall, or early winter. The photograph is black and white, and somewhat grainy.

Taken last weekend during a short hike with friends. This nature reserve goes around three lakes, and ends by this rock-formation that is called Dovra Kykra (Dovra Curch). This was also my first try pushing HP5+.

Some people standing in front of a rock formation in a clearing. The weather is overcast and the branches and foliage is wet from rain. Four people and a dog can be seen with their backs turned to the camera. On the ground there are paths created with wooden planks, since the ground is very wet and muddy here.

Taken Sunday last weekend when I was out exploring a nearby nature reserve called "Stenbäcken" (lit the stonebrook or the stonestream). Many shelters were scattered around this little lake area, and some hiking trails were going over this small passage over the stream.

A small croft at the edge of the forest. It is a sunny fall day. The house has a roof with grass growing on it, a common way to insulate in the old days.

Hotell Montagne in Åmmeberg, where I stayed a night at the end of my vacation in September. It has recently been renovated. It was first opened in 1862.

Nordiska Museet, Djurgården, Stockholm is a fascinating building. I really like it, but I've never actually gone inside until this year. I visited Stockholm during September and finally went in. According to wikipedia, it took 19 years to complete the building, and it was finished in 1907.
