De afgelopen weken zat ik helemaal in het blauw. Niet zomaar blauw, maar het diepe, levendige blauw van indigofera—één van de mooiste kleurstoffen die de natuur te bieden heeft. Met de shibori-techniek heb ik lap na lap geverfd, allemaal met hun eigen patroon en karakter.

En nu… mogen die lappen de volgende stap maken. Ze worden verwerkt tot meerdere wandkleden. Hoeveel het er precies worden? Geen idee nog. Maar zo veel zin om er mee aan de slag te gaan!

Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit for today's drawing by using a medium I'm not really familiar with: alcohol markers.
I recently picked up three Winsor & Newton Promarkers from the clearance bin at Staples, and wanted to give them a try.

Since my palette is rather limited with just three colours, I wanted to draw an example that was also rather limited in colours. Having recently watched Many a True Nerd's playthrough of Metro 2033 Redux, I decided to pick a scene of the Dark Ones near the end of the game.

I kind of like the results (though I think I prefer my monochrome version best?), and I might pick up some more colours if they still have them on sale, the next time I can pop in.
