#InfamousSecondSon is quite an interesting trip into the early days of open-world superhero games. It has everything a modern game has to offer (minus the microtransactions) and faces the same obstacles that exist today, namely giving the open world meaningful, worthwhile content (some games manage this hurdle, others don’t). I’ve been watching my son play #Spiderman2 on the #PS5 and I’m constantly reminded of #InfamousSecondSon. I’ve played a bit of the Spider-Man series but not deeply. It would seem that another Infamous title would be welcomed in our current gaming environment. It not being a super popular IP based franchise might present problems but it’s not like the series is a total unknown especially for Sony fans. I’m sure Sucker Punch is probably well into a new Ghost title but another Sony studio perhaps?

Let me digress a bit while playing #InfamousSecondSon. It’s the first PS4-exclusive game to feature the brand-new DualShock 4 touchpad. I wonder if the touchpad has ever added to the gaming experience? I can’t think of a game where it has. Swiping across the touchpad is nice, but it’s not a substantive experience on its own, rather a substitute to pressing a button. This large segment of the controller really lives in the shadows. — #PlayStation #Gaming

I’ve played two hours of #InfamousSecondSon, and this game from 2014 leaves a good impression so far. The movement feels excellent, and I like the size of the map (moderately large, not megalomaniacally large). I’m not sure about the characters and story yet.
