Anybody else on here ever read #InfiniteJest? One core idea of the story is that we are victims of our desire for entertainment. In the novel, the US and Canada and Mexico merge to become the Organization of North American Nations. The president is a former lounge singer and B movie actor germaphobe. Corporations buy the naming rights for the years. I'm really not enjoying this timeline.
