NOV 28 2023: my first visit to #Joyfull! #ジョイフル It was ... okay, but you couldn’t beat the price and our server was very sweet. I also suspected she might’ve been an #LGBTQ sister, but of course I didn’t ask. She reminded me of #MachFumiake. #マッハ文朱
#TodayIMissed ... the ease of finding breakfast. For a town that thrives on coffee, there aren't very many places open in #Portland for breakfast *at* breakfast time! If you go down any alley in a big city in #Japan, you're bound to find tiny ma-and-pa places that will do a simple breakfast set for cheap. There's also no shortage of coffee places offering sets like Seattle or Komeda, and if you're really desperate you can go to #Joyfull!
Not because the food at #Joyfull is so great, but I came back for two reasons. One, to meditate. Yes, I know, it seems like a weird place to meditate--if you really want to know, I'll tell you sometime. Two, to see if Kilara the Space Woman* was here. But no she's not. :-(
