Using fruits in Christmas decorations goes way back to 1700. Featured in this image are dehydrated apple and orange sliced bound together decorated with an anise star and bay leaves. The dehydrated decorative fruit bundle is used to decorate the home Christmas gifts and the Christmas tree. They are easy to do. Take fresh crisp apples pearsorangesand limes slice them thin and place them on a baking sheet or dehydrator sheet on low heat let the fruit dehydrate. This takes about a day. Use clear craft varnish or decoupage to lightly cover the dried fruit and let dry. Flip over and repeat. Take dried fruit and bind with raffia or sewing treat. Use this decoration in your dining room kitchen living room on Christmas wreaths for window decoration. Wonderful old-world arts and craft project.
