Woo! All my custom string sets from #DRstrings finally came in. Along with the tapewounds from #LaBella. Maybe tonight I'll throw them on.

Also, bought a Greco GS940 #semihollow #shortscale #bass that I'm going to convert into a #fretless #cello. That'll arrive in a few weeks.

Oh. I decided on a whim to buy a new used #Behringer graphicEQ and #DBX compressor+limiter+noise gate. I feel like I stole them they were so cheap but, I know they were sitting around for a long time.

Traded in a hard case that came w/ my #Ibanez bass.

I got a new #fretlessbass! I've been eyeing this model ever since it came out. Now I can shut up.

Made in Indonesia. It shows. I've noticed a few things that'd never fly from a US shop. See photos. Not a big deal but for $1300 + tax, brand new, no case...

This is not the specific #bass I thought I was ordering. Exchanged a few words w/ the shop... 😬 Alas, that fingerboard won me over & I made aesthetic sense of the body grain. lol

Waiting on the #LaBella black nylon tapewounds to arrive at my local shoppe.

stock pickups have been swapped for EMGs, the LaBella flats are on, and i even leveled a few high frets and give them all a polishing. did final setup adjustments this morning; tightened the truss rod, brought the action down a little bit, and tweaked intonation and pickup height.

i’m absolutely loving how it feels and sounds! now i feel like i have two totally playable basses, instead of a fancy new one and a tired, old one.

now that i’m predominantly playing my new G&L L-2000 day-to-day, i think it’s time to give my old second-hand peavey a makeover. new strings just came in the mail today, trying flatwounds out this time! also may or may not have ordered a set of EMG pickups…
