I have gathered all the ingredients for the cat ears (except the ears). I will start by trying to get any sort of reading out of these. The electrodes came with ad8232 chip, which is tuned for registering heart rate (if i understand the tech correctly) but it should be enough for a dirty test. I also impulse bought a raspberry pi pico, just because i couldn't resist that sakura pink pcb coating >.<

Bionic cat ears. I want bionic cat ears... So I ordered an EMG electrodes and will be experimenting with interfacing them with my earlobe muscles and an mcu to drive a linear actuator that will move the cat ears on my head. Ideally i want silent operation, which can be achieved with a pull action electromagnets. Before buying those tho, i will just use some servos i have laying around

De Luca’s 1997 study cemented sEMG’s role in biomechanics:

2️⃣ Effort estimation (force correlation).
3️⃣ Fatigue tracking (signal changes).

stock pickups have been swapped for EMGs, the LaBella flats are on, and i even leveled a few high frets and give them all a polishing. did final setup adjustments this morning; tightened the truss rod, brought the action down a little bit, and tweaked intonation and pickup height.
i’m absolutely loving how it feels and sounds! now i feel like i have two totally playable basses, instead of a fancy new one and a tired, old one.
