I know we're not big on Amazon these days, but if you regret not buying #LANCER when it came out, they have the hardback for 42% off at the moment.

Starting a #Lancer mech in #Blender3d and thinking of an approach:
1. Start with an armature and bones, roughing out the underlying joints and what constraints mechanisms would place on them.
2. Add fixed armor plating meshes, each parented to a bone.
3. Cover exposed areas with smooth meshes, weight paint them, and call it space rubber or something.

Any suggestions?

Rediscovering a respect for engineering while I'm studying "mech anatomy" for some #Lancer art.

My brain's roiling. Got my first #Lancer #TTRPG game tonight, and I'm trying not to over-prepare after all the time I put into research this week. Not sure what I should be doing with myself right now: Art, worldbuilding, low brain games, stream a show?

Trying to draw a head design for my #Lancer #mech and can't seem to find any references that strike me. Leaning toward something of a wedge shape, but when it comes to "greeble," I kind of lose things or take them in too organic a direction for what I want.

Well, it's time for the Owlbear to crawl under their +2 Blanket of Protection from Nightmares and get some sleep. I got an early day tomorrow, and it's relatively late, so…

Have you ever heard of the #Lancer #ttrpg? It's a super awesome anime inspired Mecha game. Everything about it is great, and I strongly recommend it. But that's not my recommendation tonight.

Tonight I'm calling attention to Lancer Tactics - a tactical #crpg in the Lancer setting using Lancer rules. It's in early access, and I haven't acquired it (yet) but I thought that a video game adaptation of such a fantastic TTRPG deserves both attention and support.

Give it a look, and if you're interested, give it a buy.
