I appear to have written myself into something of a corner. In my #LancerRPG game I have established the OPFOR as not-entirely-that-well-off ice planet miners, which highly limits my mech choices. But I would like to be able to present a proper challenge just as well. Can't just go throwing Operator class NPCs out there without story justification, for instance.

At least on the mission where the players head out to finally capture themselves a mech printer after their rough orbital insertion I get to throw some more interesting variants at them as that'll be the local R&D sector. I wonder what all I can put in there…
