This one's for my LibTech friends. I'm looking to get may archive organised in a manner suitable to have it accepted by a large cultural organisation. It is 35+ years of negatives, (black and white & colour) with 35+ years of black and white proof sheets. At some point I am going to want to add some kind of database, I don't really want to go down the spreadsheet route but apps like HomeCollective are beyond my technical skills. Any suggestions? All input appreciated.

And be aware Canadians. This country gave our entire national bibliography away to the OCLC corp so we can buy access to our culture transaction by transaction rather than co-operate ourselves to the max

As a 'defrocked metadata' specialist this 21stC public sphere is what we knew of our algorithms and darth vendor database tools from the last 50 years. It's not about today or about AI. never was.

It's about aggregation of tech investment and de'professionalizing the economy :( The emperor has no clothes, and me neither (also BAH, OCLC not-for-profit) mas.to/@evedazzle/114938956462

I use it all the time for searching and replacing of text.

This is how one printer sent us an update for some binders that need filing. I already took out a pile of a few hundred pages from the left stack, but I also need access to those pink sheets on the bottom right. Can’t those be interfiled?!

This should be a crime 😅

A box cut open on the side, revealing two stacks of thousands of loose sheets of paper, separated by two upright dividers (also made of paper)
