Das spannende an #Mastodon ist, dass alles noch neu ist. Während ich bei #Twitter seit Jahren @tapbots ‘s #Tweetbot und #SpringApp benutze, kann ich bei #Mastodon täglich verschiedene #Clients probieren. #Toot! und #Metatoot sind im Moment meine Favoriten (iOS).

I am on my own server and I know that things are different than if I was on m.social but I'm yet to see a single toot that has more than 10 boosts on it. I'm thinking that virality isn't going to be as much of a thing here.

My understanding of the federated timeline is that it's populated with posts from your local instance regardless of whether you follow the author and the posts from people beyond your instance populated by the follows of the people you follow.

Is that correct? I'm a serial follower on here to further build out the federated timeline, but is that even doing what I think it's doing?

I think if you were to read all my toots you would swear I was a narcissist because I only toot about myself. #metatoot
