Yesterday someone on Mastodon was so frustrated about Microsoft Windows that they wrote that they want to switch to Linux. What happened then was that the post comments soon become a conversation about which Linux distribution to install (with some bold and misguided 'information' IMHO). The original poster wrote another post that they regretted this, avoiding the word Linux (they used penguin something) and used the word hate. I declined to comment though I was tempted to write that my Mastodon client appears to have a mute option for a conversation/post thread. I have not tried it yet but I assume it does what it claims to do [1].

Does your Mastodon client have mute conversation/post thread option ?

Als Ursache kommen zB #mute Listen in Frage mit Ausschlussbegriffen, die sich auf Text und Username beziehen. Zuerst wäre mal zu klären, welchen Client er nutzt. Da gibt's ja sehr unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten der Konfiguration. Außerdem die individuellen Einstellungen der Timeline, was angezeigt wird. Zum Beispiel die Option, Beiträge auszuschließen die nicht mindestens x Likes bekommen haben.
