iterative #soundDesign - I like to take a sample, any sample, load it into your audio manipulation tool of choice, then do all sorts of modifications. Time stretch, pitch shift, effects; bounce it to audio, reverse, add effects, reverse again, then do it again. And again and again! Here are some results of my experiments. Give it a try, it's a great way to get really unusual sounds.

the #volcaKeys is not my favorite #volca (the drum is!) but it's possible to get some really interesting sounds out of it. at least I think they are interesting. I think this one might have been sequenced with #tidalcycles

the sound of 3 random synth voices being mixed with a pandora station going through a 4 step multiplexer (a sequential switch based on the 4051 chip). it's dirty and lofi because I built it myself 😎

I think I figured out a way to generate the audio waveforms info advance so they load much more quickly! Hacking hard on @dev@microblog.pub, injecting the lovely project with my terribly hacky messy code 😂

@gerald @TheForeignAgent J’ai bloqué avec Funkwhale quand j’ai constaté que pour importer une bibliothèque musicale, il fallait passer par le terminal et une procédure tellement obtuse que je n’y suis jamais parvenu. Après une mise à jour de #Yunohost il a cessé de fonctionner… Je n’ai pas pris la peine d’essayé de réparer.

Alors qu’avec Airsonic c’est un jeu d’enfant. L’ennui d’Airsonic, c’est son interface vieillotte et non adaptée aux petits terminaux.

J’étais aussi à la recherche d’un Soundcloud open source… Deux projets existent à ma connaissance :

#Reel2Bits, malheureusement abandonné par son auteure l’année dernière par manque de temps #Noisecloud, un “audio microblog” dont la création est relativement récente par @cb (Son dépôt Git est hors ligne en ce moment)
