woooo, I figured out how to do those funny light/dark toggle thingies

its kinda weird how html5 supports detecting the browser preference in pure CSS but overriding it in javascript takes like twenty lines of futzing. you can't just say "render the page as if the user's default was dark theme", you have to set your own custom property and then check for it.

but yeah, let me know if you like my new site theme! its got comic mono~
