#Oppenhimer is part Ken Burns documentary, part drama, part sound extravaganza. It tells the story of the man, his career, the project he led, and the people in his life. It is told less-than-linearly, but with a framing device that reveals itself toward the end. It is chock full of info, so you have to pay attention. If you can, see a closed caption show, cause sometimes the excellent sound design steps on the dialog.

I found it interesting, with a good theme at the end.

When teaching at CalTech in the 1930s Oppenheimer was interested in the occult & went to communist gatherings. His brother was friends with Jack Parsons, so they likely met. It seems that Aleister Crowley was at least tangentially present at the birth of both the US space and nuclear programs.

Hoping to see #Oppenhimer tonight and #Barbie in a few days time thanks to my brothers. It's been quite funny reading the outrage about the latter movie. I believe it has a feminist theme running through which has triggered silly ppl. These so called reviewers forget that the main scientists in Oppenheimer were liberal socialists and communists 😂 From what I have read both movies look to be very interesting with great scripts, actors and directors. I am looking forward to seeing them both.

If only it had been the Manhattan Project workers who went out on strike...things would have been different for people here in Hiroshima.
