Almost missed the #Aurora last night, a quick test shot showed heavy cloud #nightdreich but, I saw a glimpse and set up a camera #Auroraborealis #AurorainScotland #perthandKinross #TimeLapse the camera was set for the dark sky so I have shortened out all the cloud and left a darkened clip of the big display. I need a new wide lens πŸ˜†

Wildlife on the Patch

I'm going to attempt to embed my nature clips from the wildlife camera and, perhaps separately, some clips I've recorded myself.

A new dawn, a new day, a new year

We had a pretty dreich end to 2025, it was getting quite depressing and it made me wonder what it would be like if we never saw the actual Sun again? Just endless dank, grey days. So when January 1st literally dawned, my spirit was lifted.

We had a beautiful walk in the snow yesterday, over to the wildcam area then up to the bird feeding post. The Cam gets mostly Pheasant and Partridge at the moment but, every now and then .... #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturespy #PerthandKinross
Always wanted to see one, may spend a πŸ₯Ά day over there with the camera πŸ₯ΆπŸ€ž

Most of the upper areas of this image are pale, sky blue, some long grass and gorse shows bottom centre to lower right and branches of Gorse stick in from the right. A male Pheasant is standing, neck craned at an angle, looking into the camera in a quizzical way its bright red eye patches standing out against the iridescent green of its neck
