Angry in the first few pages because of how they were slaughtered, and pushed out of their homes by laws enacted by ‘American presidents’/ settlers.
Cutting off access to their food sources (like what the British did to the Irish).

It all reminds me of what’s happening in Palestine.

I was listening to NPR's Here and Now and the topic was knowing what land you stand on if you are in a country that was colonized.

Something was said about making this a thing people could do or should do in a public setting, or before an event or even a groundbreaking. Know and name the place you are standing on. I like this idea, if only to remind us to at the VERY least, acknowledge we're not native. You can name the land under you, here:
